Created for the Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter as the main graphic for promotions surrounding the Montreal Massacre Memorial hosted annually at the Vancouver Public Library by the Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter. The event is a great opportunity for the general public to learn about the barriers women face while escaping male violence, and is also an opportunity for feminists to create discussion around justice and social equality issues.

This logo was created for Michael Gabriel Rosen’s Cuban Salsa Classes in Vancouver, BC. He wanted something that meant “Everyone is welcome,” something that challenged the misconception that Salsa is only for the slick and suave, and made it more accessible to the average person.

This is one of my favorite logos. It is simple and clear, inspired by the Tamil Alphabet, I created this font for the Chutney VIlla, the South Indian restaurant that I manage the media for. The logo confuses Tamil readers because it is so true to life. You may not get it if you’re only familiar with English lettering, but it still is easy on the eyes.

I created this logo for a website that devoted itself to the scientific and systematic ridicule of all existing religions. I added the tongue-in-cheek slogan “Apostles of Reason” because I was given a free reign over the outcome of this one. I would like to dedicate this design to God – I was praying 5 times a day when I created it!

Inara’s Cloth Diapers is a web-based, home-run cloth diaper business. The logo conveys innocence and softness. The baby in the logo is the daughter of the business owner – just a little touch to bring it closer to the heart.

Web Copy for a South Indian Restaurant

Writing and producing this website was the most delicious work I’ve every done. Spent days at the restaurant with the owner, analyzing her needs (and feeding mine.) I took a few photos, talked to a few clients, and voila! It all came together.

The copy is friendly, humorous, and casual, inspired by the service at the restaurant, and of course the yummy South Indian food in my belly.

Writing for a travel company is a vicarious vacation. I got to research some fabulous destinations and learn the culture quirks of the east. The copy I wrote for this website was also used on their brochures and some other print advertising material.

Web Copy for a Small Business

Inara’s Cloth Diapers was a web-based business that introduced a new product to the market. My job as a writer was to capture the uniqueness of the product, and convey how accessible it is to all moms.

We picked the slogan “Simple, Natural, Affordable” as the mantra for this product, and the copy and website was designed on these principles. I also designed the logo, brochures, and business cards for this client.
